Common Purpose US welcomes Sunny Banerjea, Managing Director at FIS, as New Board Chairman

Common Purpose, a leading global non-profit organization focused on leadership development, is thrilled to announce the appointment of current Board Director, Sunny Banerjea as the new Board Chairman.

Sunny’s long history of leadership - advising global leaders, working in the for-profit and non-profit sector globally and in the US - makes him ideally suited to lead Common Purpose efforts as Board Chairman as we seek to grow in the US.

About Sunny Banerjea

Sunny is currently Managing Director at FIS, a leading FinTech company in the US, with over $13 Billion in annual revenues. Prior to joining FIS, Sunny was the Managing Partner for the Management Consulting Practice at KPMG, where he was also the leader of their Financial Services practice and one of seven members of KPMG's Global Management Consulting Board. Prior to KPMG, Sunny worked with IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he held various leadership roles within the Financial Services Sector.

Sunny is a passionate believer in compassionate capitalism, democratizing capital raising, women entrepreneurship, and promoting fairness and equity in the workplace. He is a Co-Founder of TiE Dallas Angels and has been an active investor in tech, hotels and real estate companies through his investment fund. Sunny has successfully exited several of his investments and is an active mentor, Advisor to CEOs, Past President and Board Member of TiE Dallas (A Silicon Valley based non-profit which mentors, invests and nurtures start-ups). He is also a Past member of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Western Region (Mumbai) – the largest industry association in India and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation.
