Is Your Leadership Style Written In The Stars? Here's What Your Horoscope Says

Curiosity piqued.

horoscopes

Do the stars really have an impact on the way our personalities have formed over the course of our lives? We all have a take on that one. But regardless of knowing the difference between a sun sign and a rising sign, what we do know is that astrology and horoscopes have an uncanny knack for piquing our curiosity.

Those vaguely familiar with astrology also know that each sign has distinct traits, some people identify with all of them, some with none of them (go figure), while some quite happily take comfort in being steered by them. Whatever way you see it, we thought it might be interesting to explore what the stars say about our leadership styles. Take from our discoveries what you will: be informed, feel aligned, take direction or simply have a laugh at it all.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Organized, disciplined and thoughtful

Capricorns are typically very organized and focussed, which bodes well for those in leadership roles when it comes to tackling hefty projects that require the handling of many moving parts. They also tend to set big goals – with their knack for meticulous preparation and ability to delegate efficiently, they know anything is possible.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Innovative, creative and brimming with ideas

Partial to a humble brag? Aquarius leaders are in luck – they’re known as the visionary sign. They tend to be enthusiastic about embracing fresh perspectives and trying new things as a result. They’re also super creative themselves, always keen to push the boat and think outside of the box.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Compassionate, empathetic and agile

We all need leaders who are understanding of everyone’s needs – herein lies the nurturing Pisces. Their strong suits include creating supportive team environments where people feel their voices are heard. They’re also agile and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Assertive, ambitious and a real go-getter

As a fire sign, Aries are self-assured when it comes to tackling challenges and, well… facing the fire. In a leadership context, this is a big plus in our ever-growing complex world. They also tend to be very ambitious – there’s no dawdling around where they’re concerned.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Grounded, considered and reliable

As an earth sign, Taurus leaders tend to be grounded and reliable, and they are good at building the foundations on which their team can thrive. They're also patient and take things a little slower – the phrase ‘managing expectations’ may crop up in their regular vocab.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Versatile, communicative and multi-tasking pro

Jumping from one task to another in record speed? You can count on a Gemini to be at the forefront. Curious in nature, Gemini’s aren’t afraid to ask questions, dig deeper and use whatever information they can gather to get ahead.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Intuitive, caring and compassionate

Not unlike fellow water sign Pisces, Cancer leaders can be deeply in tune with the sentiment of their team, and they will actively try to create environments where everyone feels comfortable and supported. This kind of emotional intelligence can uplift teams as they tackle projects together.

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Individual, bold and forward thinking

There’s a good chance you know a leader who is a Leo, and there’s a good reason for it. Authoritative, confident and ready to roar, Leo’s tend to be the do-ers (not just the sayers), and their charisma can energise those around them. We do love a leader who gets things done!

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Structured, precise, and data-driven

Virgo leaders can be analytical by nature, which often shines through in their leadership style. They lean towards a methodical approach to leadership and see a lot of value in investigating even the smallest of details. Being thorough and informed is the name of the game.

Libra (September 22 – October 22): Fair, balanced and harmonious

It has scales for a symbol, so it’s not hard to pin-point where the traits of a Libra might be of use to a workplace in need of balance. Libra leaders tend to create environments where people are treated equally and in harmony with each other - at least, that’s what they hope to achieve. This kind of balance creates a supportive and levelled team environment where each person’s skills are utilised.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Passionate, determined and strategic

Known for their intensity, Scorpios tend to lead with a direct and passionate nature. This steadfast method can be magnetic to others, giving them a leg up in the race to get things done. With a legion of loyal followers like these, what’s not to be achieved?

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Adventurous, lively and optimistic

A Sagittarius leader is ready to get their hands dirty. Never afraid to broach a difficult subject with colleagues, their willingness to dive into the nitty gritty stands them in good stead when it comes to work output. Procrastination? This doesn’t appear in the Sagittarian dictionary.
