Chakravarthi Mohan's experience on a Common Purpose course in
Bangalore was, for him, a truly memorable one:
"It was a rare privilege for me to have had an opportunity
to have been associated with Common Purpose. The course enabled me
to build on my knowledge and skills, particularly in the area of
using communication abilities and using leadership to achieve goals
and a vision.
"The interactive Common Purpose sessions spaced over six
months slotted in meaningful environs such as U B Towers, Toyota
Kirlosker Factories, Vivekananda Kendra in B R Hills, APD,
Theosophical Society, ISRO, Fireflies, Ranga Shankara, Conszerv,
Narayana Hrudalyaya Hospital etc. Modules were well structured and
allowed sufficient interaction with stakeholders who had daringly
ventured beyond their authority.
"Meeting a mentally challenged child and their parents in a
slum was thought provoking - 'Right' or 'Wrong' actions were
irrelevant and only 'acceptable' ones made memories sustainable.
Evident was the simplicity of Life's Truth that 'No Problem comes
without a Solution and No Solution exists without its hoard of
Problems'.
"While learning is a continuous process, one has to be ready
to unlearn to learn. Easily said, but it's very difficult to break
out of the drilled myths of Do's and Don'ts that we have learnt to
live with. I have practically realised its import and am now
comfortable that I can take up any gauntlet anytime.
"I recommend Common Purpose for those who dare to wish their
passion for success to resound."
