Renate Krol began her career in the banking sector, working for
JP Morgan in Frankfurt and New York before joining Deutsche Bank AG
in Frankfurt, where she established and led a team providing
financial services to European multinationals. Renate's role
expanded to Slovakia, on behalf of U.S. A.I.D., where she
collaborated with other agencies on the restructuring of Slovakia's
largest commercial bank and created the banking advisory centre as
the means for all Slovak banks to draw on U.S. banking
expertise.
Renate's experiences in Slovakia, of engaging cultural
differences and utilising diverse teams of experts to reach a
common goal, provided the impetus and bridge to her current role
with Common Purpose in Germany.
Renate's areas of interest include the potential for, and the
means to, create change. She established the first course in
Frankfurt - designed to strengthen civil society and its leaders -
and has since run this and other course for seven consecutive
years.
