Dr. Armin Schmiedeberg is a Partner at Bain & Company's
Düsseldorf office and leads the firm's Industrial Practice in the
EMEA region.
From 2006-2008 he was Managing Director for The Boston
Consulting Group's Middle East offices and worked out of Abu Dhabi
and Dubai. Prior to that he had spend 5 years of his career in
South America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile).
During his 20 years of consulting experience he has served
leading industrial companies in sectors such as steel, aluminum,
mechanical engineering and plant technology. In addition, he has
worked for large private equity funds and family held companies
with a focus on capital goods.
Armin Schmiedeberg holds a degree in industrial engineering from
the University of Karlsruhe (TH), a Ph.D. in managerial economics
from the University of Bonn and a MPA from Harvard University where
he graduated as a McCloy Scholar.
He is married and has 5 children.
