Sudhakar Rao (Chair)

Sudhakar Rao has over 30 years of experience as a senior level government administrator across various specialist areas including: public enterprise, state administration, development, home affairs, finance, energy and infrastructure, tourism and education.

Most recently Sudhakar Rao has been a Member of the Public Enterprises Selection Board for the Government of India, and was formerly the Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka.

Sudhakar Rao's former posts include: Development Commissioner, Government of Karnataka; Principal Secretary, Home Department, Government of Karnataka; Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Karnataka; Principal Secretary to the Government & Resident Commissioner of Karnataka in New Delhi; Chairman & Managing Director, Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC), Bangalore; Minister (Economic Affairs), Embassy of India, Washington DC; Joint Secretary, Minister of Power, Government of India; Director, Prime Minister's Office, Government of India.

He has represented India on various delegations to the United States of America, Europe, China, South Korea and Japan. Sudhakar Rao has a Master of Public Administration from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and an M.A. (Economics) from Delhi University.

Sudhakar Rao is married with two sons. He speaks English, Hindi, Kannada and German.
