a publishing services company. Career spanning 34 years, the first
ten years working in advertising agencies, the subsequent years as
an entrepreneur in advertising and
in the area of Scientific, Technical, and Medical publishing.

MANAGING DIRECTOR TNQ Books and Journals Since 1998
Chennai-based TNQ Books and Journals employs over 1250 people and
provides editorial, technological and publishing services to
publishers of Scientific, Technical, and Medical books and
journals. TNQ produces over a million pages
annually for publishers like Reed Elsevier, Lippincott Williams
and Wilkins, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press,
British Medical Journal and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
MANAGING DIRECTOR TNQ Communications 1986-1998
Founded TNQ Communications in 1986, an agency specialising in
corporate and financial services advertising and communications
with a focus on creating and delivering communication for
businesses entering the financial markets. Among its customers were
several large Indian business groups and multinationals such as the
Ford Motor Company and Citibank.
ACCOUNT MANAGER Hindustan Thompson Associates (now JWT)
1980-1986
Helped establish and build many brands, including a few prominent
Unileverbrands, while managing the people and processes necessary
for the balance between the creative and strategic functions.
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Ogilvy and Mather 1976-1980
Trained in Media Planning and Account Management.

Adoption of an agricultural village after the crops were destroyed

for postgraduate studies in journalism for a woman student from an
